A suspicious package in a San Francisco alley briefly closed Westfield Mall Saturday morning, police said. Police shut down the mall and traffic between 4th and 5th streets on Mission Street from around 9:45 a.m. until just after 11 a.m. after discovering the package on Jessie Alley, said Sgt. Michael Andraychak, a spokesman for the San Francisco Police Department. The package was deemed safe at around 11:05 a.m.
