A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a shooting in Denver on Saturday, according to the Denver Police Department.
Denver police received a call about the shooting around 6:26 p.m. Saturday, according to the department, and announced the incident on X around 6:49 p.m.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of West 5th Avenue and North Sheridan Boulevard, according to police.
Colorado Springs police shot a man while chasing him on foot after allegedly observing a disturbance at a nearby business, according to the department.
Around 12:48 a.m. Sunday, Colorado Springs police officers and the Downtown Area Response Team were patrolling East Colorado and South Nevada Avenue on foot, according to a Sunday morning post from the department on X.
Officers saw an alleged disturbance at a business on South Nevada Avenue, just north of East Colorado Avenue, the post states.
Thunderstorms may develop over the mountains and Interstate 25 corridor from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday with heavy rain, 60 mph wind gusts and hail possible for some storms, according to the National Weather Service.
