The Dallas Cowboys started rookie Anthony Brown over veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick on Thursday night at Minnesota.Brown, a sixth-round pick out of Purdue, started at outside cornerback with Scandrick coming in when the Cowboys were in their nickel package. In previous weeks, Brown had been at outside cornerback only in nickel situations.Garrett said Friday the decision to start Brown had more to do with trying to manage Scandrick's injuries.Scandrick missed all of last season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his right knee.Scandrick missed four consecutive games from Week 3 to Week 6 because both of his hamstrings were strained.
