Why General Mills' Job Cuts Won't Revive Its Slumping Share Price

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Minneapolis-based General Mills aplans to eliminate 700 to 800 jobs, which the company said will produce cost savings of approximately $125 million to $150 million starting in fiscal 2016. Investors learned of the company's planalate Tuesday through a filingawith the Securities and Exchange Commission. Wall Street is unclear what this decision will mean for the stock.
