Why Olivia Munn Turned Down Deadpool

Olivia Munn turned down the opportunity to play the role of Vanessa in Deadpool because she didn't want to play a "girlfriend" role. Speaking to American Way Magazine, the actress said she refused the role because of a lack of action opportunities - something her new role as Psylocke in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse offered. "I thought Psylocke was always one of the most lethal characters," Munn explained, "and I said, ‘Yes , as long as you’re not using her to be the eye candy.
