As more people move to Colorado and more and more are recreating outdoors year round, there are increased opportunities for interaction with wildlife. Many of these encounters are why we spend time outdoors. Spotting a deer, elk or even an eagle can be the highlight of the day. However, not all of these incidents of wildlife interaction are positive. Elissa Slezak from Colorado Parks and Wildlife joined me on my radio show last Saturday to give people some tips on how to make these encounters safe for you and the animals. The most dangerous animal in Colorado is the moose, especially this time of the year when they tend to use the trails to get around in the snow.
