Police are investigating after a family's dog was shot by a pellet gun on July 3 and later died. At about 3 p.m., the dog went out of sight near the family's Garden Road home. The owner told police this was not uncommon, as the 6-year-old puggle would often wander around other neighbor's yards, said Willoughby Police Detective Sgt.
