According to the USDA, in 2018, 88.9% of U.S. households were food secure throughout the year. The remaining 11.1% of households were food insecure at least sometime during the year, including 4.3 percent (5.6 million households) that had very low food security.In 2019, statistics indicate that approximately one in six Americans experience food insecurity.The Town of Winchester has its share of families with those insecurities, and one church is trying to make a difference.
