Winchester's Kate Fosburgh Repeats As State Champ In 2 Events

The Winchester High School girls swimming and diving team placed eighth in the MIAA Division 2 state championship meet on Sunday, Nov. 19 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester.Senior captain Kate Fosburgh placed first in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle, repeating as state champion in both events. She won the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 54.08 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:05.50.“It was pretty exciting,” Fosburgh said.
