Before the Wings' 84-68 loss to the Seattle Storm on Sunday, their first-round playoff matchup was already set. With the Phoenix Mercury's Sunday win over the New York Liberty, they secured the fifth seed and will host the Wings in a single-elimination game at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 21.The Wings lost two of their three meetings with the Mercury this season, but won the most recent one 101-72 on July 10.The matchup will be a battle of two All-Star guard-center duos.Liz Cambage and Skylar Diggins-Smith lead the Wings against 14-year WNBA veteran Diana Taurasi and former Baylor standout Brittney Griner.
