A teenage mom who police said appeared to be homeless was arrested Thursday night after police said she left her three-month old baby boy with strangers in a city hotel. Capt. Richard Conklin said police were called to America's Best Value Inn on East Main Street at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday by a manager, who told police that a heavy drinker on medication was in possession of a baby and the situation was unsafe. The baby has since been placed in custody of the state Department of Children and Families.
