A man who was at one time considered one of McHenry County's top 10 most wanted fugitives has been sentenced to prison for possessing nearly 10 ounces of cocaine and $6,175 in cash. McHenry County sheriff's officers arrested 36-year-old Jeremiah B. Pedersen, of Woodstock, in March 2018. His arrest marked the end of a six-month investigation that yielded about $28,400 worth of drugs, police said at the time. On Friday, Pedersen accepted an offer from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office and pleaded guilty to a Class X felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt sentenced Pedersen to nine years in prison.
