W.va. Dep Awards $71,000 Worth Of Litter Control Grants

The Associated Press CHARLESTON, W.Va. -More than two dozen entities have received litter control grants from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.The DEP says it awarded matching grants totaling more than $71,000 to 28 solid waste authorities, county commissions and municipalities.The grants included $3,000 awarded to the Town of Belle to help pay for a street sweeper and $3,000 awarded to the McDowell County Commission for razing structures.
