By Ali Schmitz West Virginia State University is trying to make the financial aid process easier for students throughout the area. University officials held a free financial aid workshop Sunday to help high students and their parents file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and other forms for the 2017-18 school year. JoAnn Ross, the director of student financial assistance at WVSU, said the workshop helps make the financial aid process easier. "A lot of times, as a financial aid administrator, we see students incorrectly fill out the FAFSA," Ross said.
