NEW HAVEN >> Yale School of Medicine researchers may have found a way to treat a buildup of fluid on the brain using drugs already on the market rather than surgically implanting shunts into the skull.The ability to avoid shunts, which must be periodically replaced, to treat post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus, would avoid infection and reduce stress on patients and their families, according to a Yale press release.
