NEW YORK (AP) — Outfielder Eury Perez has been claimed off waivers by the New York Yankees from the Washington Nationals. Perez hit a combined .310 (75 for 242) with three minor league teams this year with 14 doubles, two homers and 15 RBIs. He had a .154 average in 22 games with the Nationals in 2012-13. New York has tied its club record by using 56 players this year and would break the mark if Perez or infielder Jose Pirela appears in a game during the season's final week. The move was announced Monday.
