A year later, Jay, 11, Dane, 10, and Breanna, 17, are now officially "Hawks," who love to jump on the trampoline and have family game night with their three siblings, adopted by their parents in 2014. According to Department of Family and Protective Services spokeswoman Shari Pulliam, finding adoptive homes for siblings is difficult for the agency. Last year, after they continued to foster and lived as group home parents for Buckner International, they met Jay, Dane and Breanna, who were at risk of being separated from each other at Girls' Haven and Boys' Haven. Breanna, who had called DFPS after realizing that she and her brothers needed a better life than her biological mother was providing, said she felt immediately comfortable with the Hawks.
