BLUFFTON — A firm dedication to academics and extracurricular activities has earned Bluffton High School senior Nicole Edelbrock the Student of the Month award for September, an honor she said she was both shocked and delighted to receive. “It feels pretty exceptional,” Edelbrock said. “It was my first time winning, so it feels really good to be recognized.” One month into her senior year, Edelbrock maintains a 4.0 GPA, has won academic awards in geometry class and art design, and is taking postsecondary classes at Bluffton University. While she said she had gotten “decent grades” before high school, Edelbrock began receiving all A’s shortly after entering her freshman year. “I told myself, ‘I’m definitely going to keep this up,’ and I have ever since,” she said.
