MONTREAL (AP) — Italian striker Marco Di Vaio scored a hat trick in the opening 32 minutes to lead the Montreal Impact to a 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer on Saturday.
In other games, league-leading FC Dallas defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0, the Portland Timbers beat D.C. United 2-0, the New England Revolution defeated Toronto FC 2-0 and the Colorado Rapids beat Chivas USA 2-0.
Portland beat D.C. United for the first time in four meetings since joining MLS in 2011 and extended its club-record unbeaten streak to 11 games.
In Foxborough, Massachusetts, 18-year-old Diego Fagundez opened the scoring for the Revolution in the 23rd minute, one-timing a right-footed shot after taking a long cross from the left side by Chris Tierney.

UNCOMFORTABLE MOMENTS FOR ACTRESS AS DAD WATCH LOVE SCENES:
Not only did Adele Exarchopoulos' father watch the graphic sex scenes between her and another woman in the movie "Blue Is The Warmest Color (La Vie D'Adele)," in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, she was with him when he took in the film at its premier.
"During the sex scene I was looking at him, like, 'Oh my god, how does he feel' because I don't want to make him uncomfortable, you know?" the 19-year-old said in an interview.
Li Yu Chun doesn't exactly mesh with the image of most starlets who walk on the red carpets at the Cannes Film Festival.
"A lot of people are asking me 'Why aren't you wearing a long dress like a princess?'" said Chun, who came to the festival as a representative of the cosmetics brand L'Oreal.
Chun, who is known for her boyish, androgynous looks, said she was surprised to be chosen as a L'Oreal ambassador since she represents a different look than some of their other representatives at the festival, like Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Aishwarya Rai and Eva Longoria.

Iran fields 'massive' number of missile launchers
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — An Iranian semi-official news agency reports the country has fielded a "massive" number of new long-range missile launchers.
The Sunday report by Fars quotes Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi as saying the new weapons enable Iranian forces to "crush the enemy" with the mass simultaneous fire of long-range surface-to-surface missiles.
