The company's marketing tactics ended up getting their official TikTok account temporarily disabled. The incident occurred late in the evening on May 7, when a promotional livestream may have violated TikTok's community guidelines concerning "dangerous activities and challenges."

The film is Chris Pine's directorial debut, and tells the story of an optimistic pool cleaner in L. A who becomes embroiled in an investigation into a shady company.
