Before Sunday’s Golden Globes telecast, I had no intention of going to see “The Disaster Artist.” The subject matter, about the guy who made what many say is the “worst movie ever made,” just sounded unappealing to me. Then came the Golden Globes, and I saw the light. It wasn’t even that James Franco won a Best Actor Award (Comedy) for his depiction as Tommy Wiseau, the actor and filmmaker of “The Room” in 2003. It was Franco’s behavior after, calling Wiseau up on stage and then knocking Wiseau’s hand away from the microphone when he wanted to speak. Whoa, dude. For the record, after the broadcast he gave the Los Angeles Times his speech: “If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live.” Then added: “See “The Room,” have fun, and enjoy life.
