Earlier this month, Florida settled a lawsuit filed by several LGBTQ rights groups against the law popularly known as “Don’t Say Gay.” The settlement clarifies that the law does not fully prohibit students and teachers from discussing sexual orientation and gender identity in the classroom, although it does exclude such discussions as part of official instruction.
