2001: A Space Odyssey Shuttle Sold At Auction

Although Stanley Kubrick destroyed most of the props and costumes from 1968's 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Aries 1B Trans-Kunar Space Shuttle remained intact and was just sold for a hefty price. At Premiere Props' Hollywood Extravaganza Auction, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shelled out $344,000 USD (£233,000 GBP/$451,000 AUD) for the shuttle, which stands at 32 inches tall, 27 inches wide and 28 inches deep.
