LOS ANGELES (AP) — An estimated 811,000 air travelers are expected to pass through Los Angeles International Airport during the Memorial Day weekend. Airport officials say it's an increase of 6.7 percent over the same holiday period last year. The increase is due to new international destinations and more flights on existing routes. During the summer travel season beginning Friday through Labor Day, airport officials estimate nearly 25 million passengers will pass through LAX, an increase of 6.7 percent over last year.
