Emulators are programs that allow you to operate a totally different system on your native computer. For example, emulators can allow you to run "Nintendo" brand games in Windows, or the Amiga Operating system on a Linux based computer. This category focuses on the emulation of the Macintosh computer on other operation systems, such as Windows, Amiga on Linux. As of this date, only emulation of older 68K based Macintosh machines is possible. Emulation of newer PPC based machines - including the popular iMac line - will become available as this industry develops.
