Akron Police Play Santa Claus For Alleged Heroin User’s Victims

Police in Akron and Tallmadge played Santa for several residents whose packages were stolen from outside their homes.An accused heroin user short on his rent has been charged with the thefts.Everything from Omaha steaks to Harry & David pears to an Under Armour shirt were among 17 deliveries that David Gonzalez intercepted, according to Akron police.Gonzalez was arrested Tuesday night after a resident called police about a suspicious car parked with its windows down and motor running in the 1400 block of Seminola Avenue.
