There's a lot of pressure on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" to perform well. Just how well though? You may be surprised. Variety reports that Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal has set a goal of a $1 billion worldwide box-office for the sequel. The figure isn't as outlandish as you might expect. 2012's first film raked in $752 million, while the three previous Sam Raimi films clocked in between $783 million to $890 million. Even so, only four comic book movies have grossed over $1 billion worldwide - "The Avengers," "Iron Man 3," "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises". Sony has reportedly bet big on the film with more than $400 million in production and worldwide marketing costs riding on the movie.
