American Cinematheque’s ‘bleak Week’ Heads To Nyc

Flow, an animated feature following a cat's journey across a post-apocalyptic world, has been picked up for international release after winning three awards at the recent Annecy Film Festival. Directed by Latvian filmmaker Gints Zilbalodis - who was nominated for an Annie-Award for Away - Flow is set after a terrible flood has ravaged the world and humanity has adapted to survive among the new oceanic landscape.

It seems that a lot of Hollywood actors have, at some point in their career, toyed with the idea of being in a Marvel movie, and Jon Hamm is no exception. The 53-year-old star of Mad Men even went so far as to pitch himself for a role in the MCU, revealing that his idea revolved around a specific comic book storyline that he was eager to be involved in.

Deadpool & Wolverine may be the first big screen R-rated offering from the MCU, but while audiences are looking forward to all manner of bloody violence and gloriously foul language, it turns out that some things were off limits.
