After a two-day investigation that produced few leads, Harris County investigators Wednesday identified the driver of a pickup who was killed along with four of his passengers late Sunday when their vehicle was stuck by another truck traveling the wrong way on the north Sam Houston Parkway. Carmona, who was driving a Dodge Ram 5500 east in the parkway's westbound lane, is scheduled to appear in 185th state District Court Thursday morning in connection with five counts of intoxication manslaughter filed against him in the incident. Harris County District Attorney's Office spokesman Jeff McShan said that if Carmona is convicted on the intoxication manslaughter charges, the judge could "stack" the offenses, leading to as many as 100 years in prison.
