The Bureau of Land Management’s Amarillo Field Office will host a helium auction Wednesday as part of a plan to eventually sell off government-owned helium and privatize operations. The Helium Stewardship Act of 2013 established an auction system for the sale of helium and mandates that all property, equipment and interest in the Federal Helium Reserve near Amarillo be disposed of by Sept.
