Bucs Sign Rookie Barron To Five-year Deal

Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano will be welcoming a new player to his rookie training camp today. The Bucs on Friday announced the signing of safety Mark Barron, the seventh overall selection in the 2012 draft, to a five-year contract. Based on new rules regarding contracts for rookies and Barron's slot in the draft, the deal calls for the two-time Alabama team captain to receive a signing bonus of $8.9 million as well as a 2012 salary of $390,000.
