Captain Marvel 2 is officially in production at Marvel Studios, and Megan McDonnell from Disney+'s WandaVision is in final negotiations to write the script for the much-anticipated sequel. As reported by THR, Marvel is also searching for a female filmmaker to helm the movie and is hoping to release Captain Marvel 2 in theaters in 2022.
