A coalition of health leaders hope to change that. The Central Oklahoma Teen Pregnancy Prevention Collaboration rolled out a plan this week to reduce teen births in Oklahoma County by one-third by 2020. Although Oklahoma's teen birth rate has decreased over the past 20 years, it has decreased more slowly than teen birth rates in every other state in the nation except North Dakota and South Dakota. In Oklahoma, the teen birth rate has fallen from almost 67 births per 1,000 teenagers ages 15 to 19 in 1990 to a rate of 47 births per 1,000 teenagers in this age group in 2012.Read more on NewsOK.com
