Chucky Creator Reveals He Is Working On A New Child's Play Movie: 'whatever Keeps Me Working'

Chucky creator Don Mancini has already pushed the Child’s Play franchise further than anyone believed it could go, but he is already planning the killer doll’s next movie return. As the third season of Chucky heads to its close, Mancini revealed to the Scream Dream podcast that the character’s story isn’t going to end just yet if he can help it.

Sony Pictures Kraven the Hunter has been postponed. The film was set to be released at the end of the summer movie season, on Aug. 30, 2024, but has now been postponed until Dec. 13, 2024. That means it will take the place of Sony's Karate Kid reboot, which has now been pushed to May 30, 2025.

Earlier this year it was announced that acclaimed director Sbastien Vaniek would be directing the new Evil Dead spin-off, and just a couple of months after that announcement, its been revealed that yet another Evil Dead film is in the works, with Francis Galluppi attached to direct. Galluppi is making his feature film debut with The Last Stop in Yuma County, which releases on May 10, 2024.
