Twenty years ago this month Tom Waits released his twelfth studio album Mule Variations. So far it is the 2nd of his fifteen albums to go gold in the US. The other one being 1985's Rain Dogs. I have a feeling though that things such as having a huge pop seller is one of the last things on his list when it comes to making a record.
