Students from Marshpoint Elementary and May Howard Elementary recently participated in the Coastal STEMfest hosted by the Coastal Middle School Technology Student Association. The event featured conference-style competitions related to science, technology, engineering and math taught at Coastal Middle School. Fourth- and fifth-graders were guided through designing, building and testing planes, bridges, robot video games and dragsters. Marshpoint Elementary students earned the most points in the five combined categories and were presented with the STEMfest banner to hang in their school.
