A man who faced an attempted manslaughter charge for pulling a gun on two people in Las Animas County won’t get his day in court. All the charges were dismissed. It’s not because Third Judicial District Attorney Henry Solano thought the defendant was innocent. Solano filed the motion to dismiss the manslaughter case he was confident he could win because of an ongoing fight with Las Animas County commissioners over money he believes belongs to his office. “I’ve got no other recourse,” Solano told The Denver Post.
