That Colorado is a great place to work and play isn’t news. On the contrary. The state’s fast-paced growth over the past two decades is evidence that the state is a desirable place to call home. But that Colorado is considered a good place to retire to is a bit surprising because of the high cost of living, relative to most states in the West. Haven Life, an online life insurance agency, put together a ranking of the best states for an early retirement using three categories: well-being, cost of living and health care. Colorado was 10th on the list.
