Moving HuffPo and Fox News Down

It’s been a while since I last blogged; I’ve been busy working on a new site. Anyway, I’m back … with another slight adjustment to the newsrack on the right sidebar of the homepage. I moved Huffington Post and Fox News to the bottom, but above Digg.

Digg’s selection of articles have actually improved since their site was graffiti-ed several months ago by pissed-off hardcore users, even though it didn’t stop them from bleeding users and traffic. I read a while back that they added an editorial layer on top of their voting system, which helped a lot. The community is still far from where it was before the notorious redesign. The number of votes and comments are still scarce, and there’s no indication that it’ll ever get back to where it once was. That’s too bad.

I used to have Fox News towards the top because I was sorting sources according to traffic, but they’re a bit too TMZ for my taste. Huffpo is a little bit better, but their articles tend to be link-baits. Because of that I’m moving them down.
