Julius Singleton deliberately weighed the thick packet of 77 photographs in his hand. "Seeing these pictures meant a lot to me, and I'm an Army guy," said Singleton, 62, a retired 1st sergeant, in his Clarksville, Tenn., home. "This is my gift to them. It was history denied. But here it is."
