Sony Pictures has reportedly tapped Iron Man 3 helmer and Lethal Weapon creator Shane Black to direct The Destroyer, based on the adventure book series by Warren Murphy. Deadline reports that Jim Uhls (Fight Club) penned the screenplay adaptation with James Mullaney, who served as a writer on The Destroyer book series.
