Golden State Warriors president and COO Rick Welts will be honored by GLAAD at the national LGBT anti-defamation group's annual San Francisco awards ceremony on Sept. 13. Welts will receive the group's Davidson/Valentini award presented to an LGBT media professional for making a difference in promoting equality. The award will be presented by Warriors' Assistant Coach Jarron Collins, twin brother of Jason Collins, the NBA's first opening gay active player. GLAAD, formerly known as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination, will also honor Google and YouTube at the event at the San Francisco Hilton, was well as Kris Perry and Sandy Stier, two of the four plaintiffs in Hollingsworth v.
