The best-selling novelist hit it off with David Fincher, director of the highly anticipated new movie starring Ben Affleck. Former journalist Gillian Flynn, pictured two years ago in Chicago, wrote the best-selling mystery novel “Gone Girl” and the screenplay adaptation for the film, which opens Friday. “My books, the way they are written, you can tell they were written by someone who likes movies,” said Flynn, whose father was a film professor.
