Two high-profile projects have just scored new screenwriters. "Flight" and "Real Steel" screenwriter John Gatins has been hired to rewrite the script for "Skull Island," Legendary's King Kong prequel that explores the creature's home island. Gatins takes over from Max Borenstein ("Godzilla," "Seventh Son") who penned the initial script. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing and Tom Hiddleston is slated to star in the project. Meanwhile, "Wrath of the Titans" writer David Leslie Johnson has come onboard the film adaptation of Ray Bradbury's 1962 fantasy novel "Something Wicked This Way Comes" at Disney Pictures. Seth Grahame-Smith helms the story of two teen boys in a small Midwestern town visited by a carnival.
