Ohio Politics Now: What stayed in the budget and what was vetoed

After months of debate, the new $78.3 billion biennial budget is law though Gov. John Kasich vetoed 44 items in the process of signing it Wednesday night. “The vetoes eliminate some of the handiwork of his fellow majority Republicans in the House and Senate, who had spurned several of Kasich’s high-profile ‘big ideas.’ The number of vetoes doubled the 22 that Kasich used on the previous budget,” Dispatch reporter Randy Ludlow writes.
