CD Projekt Red's medieval fantasy RPG "The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt" has received a lot of acclaim this year for being one of the largest open world AAA video games created in terms of scope and content. Speaking with MCVUK this week, the company's visual effects artist Jose Teixeira reveals that their in the works open-world cyberpunk RPG title "Cyberpunk 2077" will sport a much, much larger scale - a daunting prospect considering "The Witcher 3" play throughs often run well over 100 hours: "Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before, […] We're really stepping into the unknown in terms of complexity and size and problems we encounter" Teixeira reveals though that working on the third 'Witcher' was very useful for the studio and has helped them in their design techniques for the new game which is set in a "dystopian futuristic world in which ultra-modern technology co-exists with a degenerated human society".
