Walt Disney Pictures has officially announced a December 25th 2018 release date for the freshly titled "Mary Poppins Returns," a sequel to the studio's 1964 classic "Mary Poppins". Golden Globe Award winner Emily Blunt and Emmy, Grammy, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Lin-Manuel Miranda are set to star in the film which will be directed by Rob Marshall ("Into the Woods") and produced by Marshall, John DeLuca and Marc Platt. Blunt has been cast as Mary Poppins, Miranda will play a street lamplighter named Jack.
