Several victim funds rise out of Orlando nightclub shooting

Tim Gill, a gay philanthropist who made a fortune with his software company Quark Inc. — started in his two-bedroom Denver apartment — is known for using his money to fight for LGBT equality through his Gill Foundation, investing more than $277 million in programs and nonprofits across the nation. This week, he and his husband Scott Miller , a board member of the Gill Foundation who previously worked at UBS Wealth Management in Denver, spoke out on the Orlando massacre, what it means to the LGBT community and how to move forward.
