Frank's Holocaust Memoir To Be Adapted

Straight Up Films has acquired the film rights to Viktor Frankl's iconic 1946 Holocaust memoir "Man's Search for Meaning". The story follows the soon-to-be psychiatrist's life in Nazi death camps and lessons for spiritual survival. Frankl was a prisoner in four camps including Auschwitz from 1942-45. During that time his parents, brother and pregnant wife died. During that time he also came up with the theory of logotherapy, one which posits that our primary drive in life is not pleasure but the discovery and pursuit of what we personally find meaningful. Screenwriters are currently being sought.
