Some Delaware hotels see modest boost due to DNC

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) — Some New Castle County hotels are seeing a modest boost thanks to the Democratic National Convention in nearby Philadelphia. General managers of hotels in the northern part of the county tell the Wilmington News Journal (http://delonline.us/2a5GnRa ) they're reporting a slight increase in bookings due to the convention, which starts Monday. Paul Rada, chairman of the Delaware Hotel & Lodging Association, says his 125-room Clarion Hotel-The Belle sold 50 rooms in May to people attending the convention.
